Great food atmosphere and service the manager Ann even come out and talk to our group will be doing business there again soon

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I like how the service is always good and they keep the spot clean regularly. Pricing is fair and they serve large portions.

Our server, Brooke, had great recommendations and was attentive to all of our needs during our meal. She even provided my wife and I with complementary cheesecake for our Anniversary. The medium well Aged Ribeye was outstanding. We have received great food and service on all of our visits to Firebirds. Firebirds can be very busy at certain times, but I believe that is a tremendous statement about their wonderful food, drinks and service.

Amazing food! Amazing service! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go. Forgot to take pics before diving in to eat.

Great food! Great atmosphere! Great service! My wife and I were both pleased with our experience. Only down side was the cost of the drinks.

Not normally a big fan of "chain" restaurants but this is one of the few exceptions. We got excellent service from Trevor who was very good at what he does. He "refreshed" our cocktails by pouring what was left in our original glasses into new freshly chilled glasses. I've never seen that done before! Timing of courses was perfect. The quality of our meals was outstanding.

My friend and I went in for dinner around 4pm. The waiter assigned to our table was rude. I can't remember his name but he did have red hair. He sat my water glass on the menu and didn't ask if we wanted straws. I got a snide comment when I asked about any drink specials. After his comment it took him a long time to come back to our table. We asked for another waiter. Food was good. Trevor the 2nd waiter was really nice and so was the acting manager that evening. 1st time eating there. Not sure if I would return.

10/16 was our first (but not our last) dinner at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Despite not having made reservations (we will, next time!) and a full house, we were seated in a very reasonable amount of time. The waitstaff were pleasant and efficient, and our order was delivered exactly as requested. My strawberry & shrimp salad was fantastic, and my husband said his prime rib was the best he'd had, possibly ever! Other diners seemed to be well attended, too, and when a glass was dropped and broken by a customer, three of the waitstaff were there promptly to clean up quickly and quietly. Everything there was incredibly efficient. I wondered a little about the acoustics, as conversation was difficult because of the conversation noise, but others have noted in their reviews that it was quiet, so perhaps it was a particularly busy evening. It wasn't enough of a problem to keep us from going there again! I highly recommend Firebirds Wood Fired Grill!

This place was amazing. Our server was very friendly, informative, and provided some humor. Provided us with plenty of recommendations and checked in on us often and made sure everything tasted delicious. And it was! I had a perfectly cooked medium rare steak that was seasoned beautifully. My wife had a seafood trio pasta special that was very delicious. There was nothing about our meal or dining experience we didn't like.

I have dined here twice and both experiences were equally enjoyable. We had a minor issue with one dish and the manager resolved it to satisfaction with out any undue stress. Wonderful ambiance. Nice and friendly staff. Try the prime rib it is very tender and tasty. Kids meals are substantial and delicious. No mt dew and no mellow yellow.

Pretty good food. Not prime steaks but decent quality meat. They seem to get the temperature on the steaks correct so far. The bread is real good!

Absolutely wonderful! Kurt, our waiter was perfect. The food was delicious. Tried the Double Black Diamond and can't rave about it enough. This was a Valentines day to remember. Definitely will be returning.

Chile rubbed Delmonico steak is a must. Great food,great service.

From the second we walked in staff was amazing waiter was great lobster and steak was amazing cooked to perfection! Didnt take long to get the food. We are taking my parents when they come to visit from out of town!

Simply amazing from arriving to departing. Hostess held the door open and everyone we came into contact with were incredibly polite and friendly. Everything was answered with 'my pleasure' the food from starter to dessert was some of the best I we have ever had. My cocktail was shaken and served at my table, even. When the manager asked how everything was and we expressed our satisfaction, I overheard him complamenting his server. What get standards set.

Wow! Best dining experience EVER! Adrian was our server. Made us feel like royalty. Give that man a raise, followed by a big tip. Good atmosphere. We'll be back, again and again.

Food was good around the table the soup was a little runny for a sothwest potato. Chicken was cooked well however my party ordered medium rare burgers which came out closer to well done. Tots were good and had a nice crunch and seasoning, however more dipping sauce options than ketchup would be nice. For some reason everyone in our party kept flipping the menu over hoping we would find some wood fired pizza options, but to no luck though i think they could do well with that option

Excellent! Food was great! 5 stars for our server Dillon too! Ordered 7oz peppercorn sirloin and it was very flavorful, seasoned steak fries with ranch wonderful too!!

We had an amazing time eating at Firebirds! Our server was so funny and on top of things (handsome too) He made great suggestions. The salmon my daughter and I ordered was delicious and moist. It was cooked perfectly. The port mushroom side was my fave. Seriously one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

LOVED this place. Was concerned about the high prices but the steak was well worth it and our waitress was amazing.

Great service! On the downside my steak was unfortunately cold, and they charged me for it and it cost me 30$. So I might give it another try.

We are just your average joes in jeans and hoodies looking for a place to eat on a rainy Saturday night in March. We found ourselves in Jordan Creek waiting for my son to get off work. We followed the delicious aroma to Firebirds. We had no idea what to expect as we didn't check out a website or reviews, just decided to see where our noses led us. Upon arrival, we realized we were under dressed. However, this did not stop us from being welcomed and seated quickly. The restaurant is beautiful with fireplaces and natural woodwork and stone. The kitchen is open and a centerpiece of the restaurant. We ordered off the seasonal menu - Steak and Shrimp and Striped Bass. The food was amazing with surprising flavors and textures, a delight. Dessert of ooey-gooey butter cake with fresh berries was oh so delish. The wait staff was friendly and no too off put by our appearance. We will definitely come back as our budget allows.

Our waitress was great, the menu had really great food, and even though the restaurant was busy we were still checked on regularly. We will be back!

Great atmosphere and good food.There's a nice outdoor seating area, and the interior decor is very nice as well. I always enjoy the grilled salmon too.The bar area tall table set up is a bit odd to me. It felt like we didn't have enough table space.

Food was good and prices were fair. Service was very attentive and friendly. Personally menu was a bit lacking due to not enjoying seafood options.

Fantastic service. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They make a concise effort to make sure your dinner is as pleasant as it can be and that everything turns out the way you wanted it. The atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic as well. The only down side is it is it can be pretty pricey depending on what you buy while there, but as with most places you get what you pay for.

Amazing food, amazing service, great waiter name was Nathan you should all try the Triple Berry Sunday with a Brownie!!!! Talk about Paradise in you mouth!!! So so sooooo good!!!! I’m so happy I tried it and thankful Nathan was willing to put the request in for me!!! I’ll be back for more! Don’t miss out 😋!

Clean, good service. The 14oz aged ribeye was chewy and under seasoned, plus the cheap serrated steak knife they give you just wasn't up to the task. Save your money and forget the food here, go for drinks instead because the bar was good, just eat elsewhere.

Ordered a 14oz Ribeye for $14.95 from Firebirds Butcher Shoppe, cooked it at home, it was excellent! Did you know you can order bottles of wine to go? Manager recommended a bottle of wine that paired great with my steak!

Nice atmosphere. The food was top notch. I had the Tuna Super greens salad and my date had the wood grilled Salmon. Both entrees were excellent. We also ordered the Jalapeno Deviled Eggs which we loved. Prices are a bit on the high side but not ridiculous.

The food was great the chicken was moist and juicy and hot the mashed potatoes were super good and the mac and chease was good but the noodles needed to be cooked a little more and neaded more chease and my mom's sales wad good too

Monday night at 5.30 pm. Kitchen gets 3 stars - undercooked vegetables across 4 plates is a problem. Steak was terrific though! Front of house was very friendly but struggled with seating and taking orders in a sub 25 minute window from seating. Servers were in the weeds after getting tables sat all at the same time. Host stand could use some coaching. 2.5 stars for front of house. Bartenders were amazing.

Ordered the large prime rib.. med ..... Not hardly any pink at all in cut I got... Tender but nothing special... Was expecting a little smoke flavor... But nothing.... Not impressed... Other 3 meals I was told were great.

Ordered a couple of Steaks to help them out. get home and no Bread as I ordered called ask why no bread said I guess we forgot. I said well I am not driving backover to get it. Gentleman said sorry. This will be last time I order from here.

Went during lunch time so it was pretty empty, but still got great service, food was out quick. The server was very nice, and kept our waters filled. The food tasted fantastic, the Ranch Rings, and Lobster Spinach Queso where both fantastic. The Entrees where just as good. All in all it was a pleasant experience in an upscale restaurant.

First time dining here. The parking sucks, but after that, everything was great. Good host, waitress, and pretty good food. I ordered the grilled chicken breast for lunch. Price was close to on point. The lighting was good. Ambience good. Nice and quiet so you don't have to yell. I liked it enough to come here again and see what the chef's can really do.

If I could give this restaurant 10/5 stars I would. Everything between the ambiance, the service, and undoubtably the food exceeded our expectations! This is now my favorite restaurant based upon my first visit in its entirety. The appetizers came out quicker than I’ve experienced anywhere else, and were nothing short of amazing, salads followed directly after, and in a very timely fashion before our dinner. The dinner was exquisite! I myself had ordered the prime rib, paired with the Au jus was perfect. My family also enjoyed their exceptional dinner’s, alongside the experience. Prices are a bit up there, but seemingly very fitting to the quality of food served. They have something for everybody there, a very well balanced menu, while keeping the prominent values of a great steak-house oriented grill. Will be visiting again shortly!!! 100% recommend to anyone trying to decide where to eat around West Des Moines area!

They get my order right everytime, greet me with a nice smile and the food is good everytime. Everyone from the front to the kitchen cares about my order. Would recommend them everytime.

First time at Firebirds. We didn't have a reservation and it was going to be an hour wait which seemed pretty normal to me for a Saturday night at 7 or so next to Jordan Creek. I was fine with that and a high top table in the bar area happened to open so we grabbed it and they cleaned it right away. Not a great call on my part. I'd rather have waited than to deal with the constant draft of cold air from the doors, so that was on me. Had the 16oz prime rib and Merlot. It was pretty good, but I'd probably try something different next time though the au jus & horseradish was terrific. Broccoli was on the cool uneven temp/cook side and smelled funny even for broccoli. I'd go back for sure, but I'd highly recommend a reservation up til around 8/830 or grab a high top closest to the bar to get away from the door and extra chatter.

The food is fantastic. My personal favorite part is the smell of the wood burning. Our server is always amazing.

Excellent food and great service. Visited on Veterans day and they were providing current service members and veterans with an amazing free meal.
